Hospitals, Design

First off, I want to get back to my Thursday post.

I wonder if I am the only one who feels very uncomfortable in hospitals, retirement homes or the like. Being a doctor or a nurse like my mum would be impossible for me...
I realized this when I sat in the entrance lobby of the hospital on Thursday. Seeing all the sick (and mostly aged) people makes me think about diseases, death and seniority and therefore a little depressed. :(

Is that normal?

By the way, I was in the hospital only once, at the age of eleven. I passed out while we were in a very close hall on some event... never want to experience a night in the hospital again!

Yesterday I spent almost two hours working on a suitable design for my new blog (I'm going to stop blogging on this one at the end of March and then continue on my new one). The design I devised before didn't appear so nice to me anymore, so I revised it. :)
Do you, especially the bloggers among you, have any good ideas which new plug-ins I could embed into it? I already looked for some on other blogs and included them, but there is still pretty much free space in my two sidebars. ;)

I'm totally with you. I respect (and appreciate) the work and dedication by all hospital staff... but it's not a place for me! It's something with that antiseptic smell I believe. All sad people, trauma, despair; it's buried deep within the walls. The depression is all over the place.

Well I can't disagree with you about hospitals and I still wonder how I managed to survive as a student nurse for two years. Unfortunately I've had at least 30 operations on various bits of me starting at age three so a lot of the time I just have to grin and bear it. I really do hate the smell, the sense of gloom and the complete lack of privacy. I've got at least two operations coming up in 2010 and I'm really not looking forward to them at all.

On the blog issue most of the plugins I use are ones that I've seen on other blogs and though "hey that good I want it on my blog" One of my prime reasons for having my blog on it's own domain is that there are literally hundreds of plugins that Wordpress won't let you install on their servers because they don't allow JS. I haven't really gone into the Google situation yet as I'm only just getting my music blog underway and running the main Old Midhurstian blog takes a fair bit of time on it's own.

Please don't forget to tell us when you move your blog, wouldn't want to lose you.

Love
Mac

@Daniel:
Exactly. :(

@Old Midhurstian:
I guess an own domain for my new blog would be a little overkill. :P But I understand it if you want to use certain plug-ins that don't work on the Google or Wordpress Blogs. (and besides, it's always good to be independent)

Of course I won't forget to let my clientele know when I move. :P

I don't have an advice on the setting up what not on the blog end, but I am very curious about one thing. Why are you stopping this one and starting another one?

Best wishes,
Scottie

I am going to stop this one simply because I don't like the design and title anymore. :) It's just a change of scene, nothing more. :)
