Okay, last night I promised myself that from now on I am going to exhaust myself more on Sundays.
Every Sunday night when I try to fall asleep, my mind turns into a stadium with lots of voices echoing in it. I simply can't calm down and start thinking about trifling things (most of them have to do with what's going to happen on the next day or week).
As soon as the temperatures rise above 5 Celsius, I am going to start jogging and cycling on a regular basis again, so I hopefully won't be that vivid at night anymore. :P
There's not much else to say, right now. :)
I'm quite happy with my life as it is at the time. :) I enjoy school very much and also feel comfortable around my classmates. Everything else in my life also makes me feel quite optimistic about the future.
The rest of the evening I will spend studying for tomorrow's German test; Analysing Kleist's short novels. ;)
I'll probably be back online at the end of this week. By then I want to be finished with the Politics composition, too. :)
Bye,
Lunario
A crash and an inspection

Exhausting yourself might work. Maybe getting up earlier in the morning would also help.
Used to have the same problem. It was virtually impossible to catch some sleep Sunday night, making my Monday absolutely zombie-horrible!
Nowadays I make sure to limit my sleep the previous night. Not too much, but I always set my alarm for Sunday morning, like 7.30 or so. If you combine that with physical exercise I'm convinced you'll crash in bed!!
Good luck! Sweet dreams!!

Daniel
Sound thinking and very much in line with conventional wisdom mens sana in corpore sano
I'm very pleased to hear you say that you're happy with your life right now.
Good luck with your test

Hi OldM - it's great seeing you here. XD
Hey Lunario I **heart** how you said:
>> There's not much else to say, right now. :)
I'm quite happy with my life as it is at the time. :) I enjoy school very much and also feel comfortable around my classmates. Everything else in my life also makes me feel quite optimistic about the future.
I'm happy I read your post because I'm sorta feeling down today, and your uplifting words make me feel like things are going to get better. Thx.
Andy
This post made me happy! Glad you're feeling optimistic. It sounds like things are going really well. Exercise is great, but do it earlier in the day, not close to bedtime because it'll make you even more hyper. I'm thinking about taking up running as well. Good luck on your test!
Lunario,
prerhaps you like to write something about why you are now quite happy in order to realize this for the future.
U-Man
Oh yes! It's really good to read that someone's basically happy with his lot.
Sleep - regular bedtime and mostly a regular getting-up time are both very good. An amount of physical exercise to tire out the body (quite apart from keeping fit) but also some brain work because without that you won't get to relax enough for sleep.
My guess is you need to balance the two.
@naturgesetz:
I am also working on that, but if I get up too early, I'd be tired all day, and that's what I eventually want to prevent. :)
@Daniel:
Thanks for the advice - a combination of keeping one's sleep rhythm of the week and physical exercise is probably the most effective way to achieve what I want to achieve. :)
@Old Midhurstian:
I haven't heard of that wisdom before, but I agree that both a healthy body and a healthy mind are as same important (and maybe one should add a healthy spirit to it).
@gay Andy:
Thanks. I'm glad my post perked you up. :)
@Charlie:
:)
I'm going to do the exercise about two hours before I go to bed, and perhaps in the morning as well.
Do you think I should have breakfast or dinner before running, or afterwards?
@U-Man:
Well, as I wrote in my post, there aren't any imminent worries on my mind, like lots of school work, problems in the family or something like that... and above all, I enjoy the time I spend at school even more than before, since I took to socialize with my classmates more than before. :)
@Micky:
Yepp, as I wrote in my comment to Daniel's comment, I will have to find the right balance.
As far as brain work in the evening is concerned, I usually read for a while before I turn off the light.
